How to choose

Choosing Marking Knives & Edge Tools at the bench

  1. Classic or long neck

    The classic knife marks along a square. The long-neck knife reaches between dovetail tails.

  2. Flat edge or round stock

    The chamfer plane eases a square corner. The concave spokeshave rounds a rod or a chair leg.

  3. Banding is its own job

    The edge banding trimmer cuts PVC, ABS and veneer tape flush. It is not for solid wood.
