What it does
The standard blade covers everyday marking. The long neck reaches into dovetails.
Each knife works in the left or right hand.
The bamboo box protects the edges and makes the set easy to give.
Layout work goes faster when the right knife is at hand. Use the standard blade against a square for shoulders and crosscut lines. Switch to the long neck when you need to scribe inside a narrow space. Both blades are high-carbon steel on riveted hardwood handles with flat sides. The box keeps them together in a drawer.
Limits
The set has no leather sheath, since the box does that job. If you carry a knife in an apron, the single classic knife with its sheath travels better. Buyers rate the set 4.1 out of 5, below the single knives.

I needed to make a dovetailed box, and have all the tools I need to do it in my shop. But, I'm miles from my shop taking care of a declining older sister. So, I bought a few layout tools to let me do some precision woodworking with minimal tools. Frankly I'm a little surprised at the level of quality. I needed to do a final sharpening and honing to get the edge I like. But, it holds the edge well. Would recommend to anyone.
This is very useful for precise marking. I used it for marking lumber for a dowel jig while building a pair of doors. Tool is strong and comfortable to use. The case is very nice.
Generally these are pretty good but the metal is very soft so after one drop the tip on one of these is already completely ruined -sharpenable but with a LOT of work.
I got this as a gift and they're just beautiful, soft and feels so well made. They're sharp and precise... perfect for woodworking.
