What it does
Set it once and drill a full column. A positioning pin drops into the last hole to carry the row further.
Two bits and two sets of bushings come in the box. Knurled bushings are 1/4 in and striped ones are 5 mm.
Holes sit 37, 50 or 64 mm from the panel edge, which covers common cabinet and bookcase layouts.
Adjustable shelves rest on pins, and the pins need two straight columns of holes on each side. Drilled by eye, the shelves rock. This jig puts every hole at the same spacing and the same depth. You clamp it with its own clamp, drill through the hardened bushings and move on. The stop collar keeps the bit from coming through the far face. A canvas bag holds the lot.
Limits
The 11-hole jig is the faster of our two on tall panels. It does not have a hinge guide. If you are building cabinets with doors, the 7-hole jig drills fewer holes per pass but also lays out 35 mm hinge cups. Check your shelf pins before you drill, since a 5 mm pin wobbles in a 1/4 in hole.

I just bought this Ruitool shelf Pin Jig. First Ruitool product I have ever bought. So far I really like it. I'm using it for a custom shelf I'm building and the build quality is pretty solid. Its very easy to use and very compact. All the numbers are easy to read and very sharp. All metal construction and to be honest it should be selling for more money. Well worth the money. Functionally it has tons of uses and works well. I do wish it had extra drill bits included. Overall I highly recommend the jig.
This is a great tool for making shelf pin holes in cabinetry. It's quite intuitive to use for both 1/4" and 5mm holes, however I've found that no matter what twist drill I use, there is always tear out. So quick fix, use a 1/4" (or 5mm) forstner bit to cut the surface of the hole and then finish with your 1/4" twist drill. Perfect holes and spacing every time!
Used for a double wide shelving unit that is almost 7' tall. 200 holes for each shelving unit (4 x 50). Made sure that jig was always positioned the same and pegged the top hole each time. Put shelves at about the 40th hole from the bottom on each shelving unit and the shelves were perfectly level with each other and there was no rocking. The reason for the 4 star railing is that the drill bits provided were useless so had to buy new ones. This is a really excellent jig.
This jig clamps securely to the cabinet side and the 11-hole pattern with adjustable edge settings made drilling aligned shelf pin holes fast and repeatable. Both bit sizes were included as described, and the depth stop kept every hole consistent.
