What it does
90, 60, 45, 30, 22.5 and 15 degrees. Pull the pin, turn, and lock.
Two fixings hold the square to the rail so it moves with it.
Two support pads keep the rail from lifting at the edge.
Angled cuts on a track saw usually start with a protractor and a clamp. Here you pull the index pin, rotate to the stop and tighten the knob. The rail is at 45 degrees, or 22.5, before you have found a pencil. Go back to 90 with one more turn. A wall-mount plate keeps the square off the bench when you are done.
Limits
Buyers rate it 3.8 out of 5, below our fixed 90 degree square. If you only ever cut square, the fixed one has fewer parts to check. The stops are preset. An angle between them has to be set by other means. It is made for Festool and Makita rails.

This is a well-made, solid add-on for a track saw. It easily connects to the track and has accurate detents for the most commonly used angles. It's definitely worth the price, especially considering the time it saves on repeated cuts, just pick it up and go to the next cut. The preset angles make adjustments quick and accurate, so you can consistently achieve the same angle without having to worry about alignment or guesswork. You forgot to make a cut, set the angle on the detent and go, its the same every time.
This track saw square is decent for what it's designed to do. There is a tiny bit of play in the mechanism, so I wouldn't rely on it for ultra-precise finish cuts. However, for rough cuts and repeatable angles, it works very well. The positive stops are convenient, the cam lock holds securely, and the repeatability is consistent, which is really what I wanted it for. Overall, it's well made and a good value if you understand its limitations.
Looks and works well, but does not make square cuts, the cut is 1/8" off at 24". There is no adjustment anywhere on this thing that I could find. An adjustable zero position would make this perfect.
Looks good. It looks like it will work. Haven't tried it on a project yet.
