At the bench
Ripping a strip off a board with a circular saw goes wrong when the saw drifts. This guide gives the saw a fence. The distance from the blade to the fence is the width of the strip. Set it, lock it, and keep the fence against the board edge as you push. It suits repeated narrow rips for trim or cleats.
Check before you buy
- Your saw base is no longer than 13-3/8 in and no thicker than 1/2 in.
- You have a ruler to square the fence to the blade.
- The board edge you follow is straight.
Limits
Pick another one if
It does not align itself. Check the fence against the blade with a ruler before you cut. Saw bases differ between brands, so measure yours first. It is our lowest-rated guide at 3.5 out of 5, and fit is the usual complaint. It is not a track, and it does not work with track saws.

Excellent for strip cuts or to clean up an edge!
This attaches to my dewilt saw easily and is easily removed. This guide is perfect for narrow strip cuts where larger guides are impractical. Furthermore, this will enable you to easily create a straight cut to clean up a poorly cut edge.This tool accessory is made of metal and attaches easily to the underside of my circular saw. When installed correctly, it provides stability and accuracy for creating straight cuts.While limited in function, it serves its function quite well. A very good value for the money! A+
Precise cuts. Sturdily built.
This tool readily attaches to my handheld circular saw. It allows for precise measurements and cuts through sheet material. I find it easy to read and set. Once locked down, it does not move during the cut, but it is always a good idea to let the saw blade do the work without undo force.The construction and materials are solid. I expect this attachment will last a lifetime.
Saw guide
This cutting guide is a challenge to attach to the. Are plate of a skill saw. It required using pliers to tighten the hold down screw enough to keep in place. Once set it made very accurate rips on 2x thick material. All in all once you set up correctly it works well.
Doesn't work well with Bosch circular saws
Doesn't fit well to my Bosch circular saw. Difficult to get into the position and doesn't stay there.
