Four tooth patterns
14 and 17 TPI on the small saw, coarse and 18 TPI on the large one.
SK5 steel
Both blades are high-carbon SK5 with teeth hardened to HRC 60 to 63.

The small saw has a beech handle. The large saw has a long straight grip.

At the bench
One saw rarely covers a whole project. You rip a board to width, crosscut it to length, then trim a peg flush. The set gives you a blade for each job. Reach for the 10 in saw when the cut is longer than your hand. Reach for the 6 in saw when you can see the whole cut at once. Both cut on the pull stroke with light pressure.
Check before you buy
- You want both a joinery saw and a board saw.
- You do not already own one of the two.
- Hardened teeth suit you: they hold an edge and cannot be resharpened.
Limits
Pick another one if
Buying the pair costs more than either saw alone. If you only trim dowels and cut small joints, the 6 in saw by itself will do. The set also has fewer ratings than the single saws, so there is less buyer feedback on it.

Very fine teeth, cuts like a dream!
I like the very thin kerf these saws have, and that they cut on the pull stroke. I am using them to make dovetails for small boxes. It's nice not having to drag out a power tool for delicate cuts. Very happy with this purchase.
